The Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 sports lenses were put to great use by our Farmers Harvest newspaper staff this semester. After initial training, we put the lenses to use during football season and they became our go-to lenses throughout the rest of the year for sports and low-light photography. As a result, our photographers collected 10 state and regional awards for their work. I’m already making plans to expand our photography coverage for next year and I know that this LEF grant will continue to reap benefits in the future for our staff as future students become more proficient with them.
