Lewisville ISD Education Foundation awarded $127,600 in scholarships to 198 seniors from the five LISD high schools. Six LISD employees also received $3,500 in fellowships to assist as they seek to advance their education with postsecondary degrees.

LEF’s 2014 Fellowship recipients:

Tammy MacDonald – 2014 Carolyn Vines Memorial Teacher Fellowship Tammy is the Assistant Principal at Independence Elementary. She is pursuing a doctorate in e-learning at Northcentral University. She plans to graduate in 2016.

Michelle Wooten – 2014 Dennis Winborn Fellowship

Michelle, the Principal at Donald Elementary, is pursuing a doctorate in Educational Leadership at Dallas Baptist University. She plans to graduate in 2018.

Lindsey McDaniel – 2014 Dr. Jerry Roy Fellowship ($1000) Lindsey is a 3rd grade ESL teacher at Peter’s Colony Elementary. She is pursuing a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership at Texas Women’s University. She will graduate in December.

Alexandra Babino – 2014 Dr. Jerry Roy Fellowship ($500) Alexandra, the LEAP teacher at Central Elementary, is pursuing a doctorate in Language and Literacy at The University of North Texas. She will graduate in December.

Erin Walter – 2014 Dr. Jerry Roy Fellowship ($500) Erin is a 2nd grade teacher at Old Settlers Elementary. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Education Counseling at Texas Women’s University. She plans to graduate in 2016.

Emily Worland– 2014 Minnie Mae and Mack Bogard Fellowship Emily, a Social Studies teacher at Marcus High School, is pursuing a master’s degree in Urban Affairs at The University of Texas at Arlington. She plans to graduate in 2015.
