LEWISVILLE – The Lewisville Independent School District Education Foundation (LEF) is pleased to announce that the 2016 LISD Employee Giving Campaign was a resounding success, raising $149,574 across all campuses. That total represents an increase of $32,536 from 2015, an incredible improvement of 27.8 percent in just one year.
Principals and ambassadors across the school district helped raise support and coordinate the campaign on each campus, succeeding at an unprecedented level. We truly are “Better Together”!
After awarding 263 scholarships totaling $170,000, 50 teacher grants in the amount of $76,525, and $30,000 in campus grants this past year, LEF is looking forward to reinvesting the support from the 2016 Employee Giving Campaign back into LISD to benefit students and teachers across the 13 communities the school district serves.
A 501(c)3 organization, LEF is dedicated to providing teacher grants and student scholarships within LISD. Since its founding in 1990, LEF has provided more than $3 million to students and teachers in LISD to fund expenditures not covered by tax dollars. Contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.
