The LEF Programs & Outcomes Committee selected nominee Diana Gafford as the 2024 Ted Barnes LHS Award of Excellence recipient. Mrs. Gafford has served as an educator for the Lewisville ISD for the past 22 years and has used her strength of building meaningful relationships with students to encourage success, both academic and personal.

LISD hosted its annual Awards Banquet on Friday, April 26, 2024. Winners from every department were given a cash award provided by community sponsors including 4 LEF-held funds: Ruth Evelyn Buck Memorial Elementary Teacher of the Year Award of Excellence, Carl Franklin Buck Memorial Principal of the Year Award of Excellence, Patsy Jane Buck Elementary Principal of the Year Award of Excellence, and the Dr. Susan Menking Counselor of the Year Award of Excellence.
