Volunteering with the LEF
The Lewisville ISD Education Foundation has more goals, programs, and opportunities than its Board of Directors and staff can handle alone. With the help of many supporters, the Foundation raises funds for programs that are not funded with tax dollars. Program areas include Teacher Grants, Graduating Senior Scholarships, Teacher Fellowships and Program Scholarships. In addition the Foundation supports special recognition programs.
LEF’s success is linked to your involvement and support.

We are always seeking volunteers to help on a committee or on an event-by-event basis. We would be grateful for your help on an occasional or regular basis. No long term commitment is required .
LEF Volunteer Opportunities to Consider
Serve on a Foundation Committee
Serving on one of our Foundation committees allows you to use your expertise to assist us in sustaining and growing the success of our programs. We depend on community volunteers to help us do many things, including selecting Teacher Grant and Graduating Scholarship recipients. In addition, the Foundation is looking for help with the following administrative committees:
- Finance
- Marketing
- Development
Help Plan a Foundation Event
The Education Foundation is proud of several fundraisers - and friend raisers - held throughout the year that provide the community with a chance to join in the fun of supporting our schools. We often need new ideas and extra hands to help put these exciting events together.
Current events include:
- Lewisville ISD Employee Giving Program (September)
- Annual Silver Star Gala (November)
- Lewisville ISD Frisco RoughRider Night
Event Volunteers are needed to help with tasks including:
- Event registration
- Events set up & clean up
- Publicity for events
- Solicitations committee to seek donated goods & services
- Decorations
- Program
Volunteer in the Foundation Office
Clerical tasks such as mailings, data entry and filing are never done! We always welcome someone eager to help.
Office Volunteers- are needed to help with tasks including:
- Mail outs – stuffing, stamping, and copying
- Filing
- Data entry
- Reception duties
- Desktop publishing
- Bookkeeping or assisting in accounting office
