Marcus Tennis Team Takes

Fundraising is nothing new for student organizations, but the Marcus Tennis Team adds a philanthropic twist to raising funds.

For the past 3 years, the Marcus Tennis Team, under the direction of Texas Tennis Coach of the Year Kelly Langdon, has donated an average of $1,500 a year to LEF from their annual fundraising efforts!

Prior to the Thanksgiving break each year, Marcus Tennis holds a "Serve-A -Thon" which raises money for charitable giving.  It encompasses all tennis students within the Marcus system, including feeder middle schools, Junior Varsity and Varsity.  Students get sponsors for the number of serves successfully hit (out of 100) into the correct box, and during the one day event, they hit over 10,000 serves!

This year, Marcus Tennis raised $5,000 for contributions to LEF, Pedi-Place and a family in need.
