CoServ Electric Donates $30,000 to LEF

January 24, 2011 (Lewisville, Texas): Providing continued support for the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation(LEF), CoServ Electric presented LEF with a check for $30,000 at last night’s LISD Board of Trustees meeting. Pam Nelson, LEF Board member and VP of Program Allocations (pictured left), and Connie Pelphrey, LEF Executive Director (pictured center), accepted the donation from Bill Ragsdale, CoServ Board of Director District 6 (pictured right).

Having established the CoServ Electric Teacher Assistance Endowment in June 2005, CoServ continues to provide ongoing support to the LISD educational community by giving to their LEF-managed endowment fund.

LEF is grateful for community partners, such as CoServ Electric, who support excellence in the classroom through giving.  LEF grant funds provide Lewisville ISD teachers with opportunities to enrich classroom experiences through innovative teaching methods. In 2010, LEF awarded over $65,000 to LISD classroom teachers.   These supplemental funds provide a crucial avenue of financial support that goes beyond traditional means of school funding. 

LEF’s funding comes from Texans and Texas-based businesses, non-profits and foundations. “Our donors have made amazing things possible,” said Connie Pelphrey, LEF Executive Director. “Their dollars make a profound difference in new programs and opportunities.”
