Lewisville ISD Employees Support LEF, Raise $38,540 In Giving To “Light the Spark” Employee Giving Campaign
Recognizing the value LEF brings to LISD, Lewisville ISD employees respond generously to LEF’s annual Employee Giving Campaign by supporting the Foundation with monthly pledges and one-time gifts.
Lewisville, TX, October 23, 2009: LISD employees recognize the value LEF brings to LISD. By responding generously through monthly pledges or one-time gifts, LISD Employees raised $38,540 to support the funding efforts of LEF. Hedrick Elementary, which had 100% participation among faculty and staff this year, raised over $1,000.
Small contributions add up to big impact
Each year a portion of the funds raised go directly to support classroom teacher grants. Of the forty teacher grants that were awarded this year, eight of them were funded in part from employee giving donations. Many others are designated for various scholarships and grants already established with LEF.
The Employee Giving Campaign focuses on small, incremental giving by recognizing that even a small pledge can make a big difference. For every 10 individuals that pledge a minimum donation of $10/month through payroll deduction, LEF is able to provide $1,000 in classroom funding.
"The support that LISD employees demonstrate through the annual Employee Giving campaign communicates an understanding of how important it is to give back to our district."
