LEF Scholarship Recipient and LHS Graduate Receives National Award
Kyle Evora excelled in speech and debate as a student at Lewisville High School. Participating in the Free Enterprise Speech contest, sponsored by the National Management Association, he advanced through local, district, and regional contests to become one of only six students in the nation qualified to compete at the national level.
Accompanied by former LHS speech teacher, Sally Squibb, Kyle attended the National Speech Contest in November where he was selected as National Champion! Along with the award, Kyle also received $10,000 in scholarship money.
Kyle joins two former LHS graduates, Victoria Vernon (2003) and Jimmy Hammond (2006 and LEF scholarship recipient), in holding this award, which gives LHS special distinction as the only school in the United States to have three National Champions!
Helping students follow and achieve their dreams is just one of the reasons the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation proudly supports the Senior Scholarship program.
Way to go, Kyle!
