Lewisville ISD Education Foundation Money in Review 2007-2008
Each year, support to LISD through the Lewisville ISD Education Foundation continues to grow because so many of you give so faithfully.

Total Giving 2007: $131,520 Total Giving 2008: $143,221
So Where Does All the Money Go? It goes back into the students and teachers of LISD, and we consider that a solid investment in the future.
The chart above details how funds were disbursed in 2007 and 2008 within LEF's different program areas:
• Grants for Innovative Projects
• Student Scholarships and Teacher Fellowships
• Awards for Excellence – includes Teacher of the Year, Administrator of the Year, and the Ted Barnes Award for Excellence
• Program Scholarships – includes both the LISD Outdoor Learning Program and Wendell Gregg/DeLay Band Scholarship
Of course, LISD is an enormous district (see boundary map ) encompassing 128 square miles and 13 different communities, and LEF would like to do more to meet the diverse needs of this amazing district. If you're interested in joining the cause to support LISD, we welcome your support. Whether your donation is big or small, LEF has a place for you to make a difference! Contact us today!
So if the questions still remain: Why do we do the things we do? Why fundraise? And the big question: Why does LEF exist? The answer is simple . . . to provide an avenue of support above and beyond traditional tax base funding for the students and teachers of LISD. As they strive for excellence, LEF is here to help!
Through the generous support of our donors, LEF is able to satisfy our mission statement to enrich the quality of public education in the thirteen communities served by the Lewisville Independent School District by being a vehicle for securing private funding benefiting LISD teachers and students .
